Hello, In The Last Months My Heavy Periods Were Getting

Hello, in the last months my heavy periods were getting worse and worse, so I went for a check-up. My gynecologist saw two polyps on the ultrasound and a thickened endometrium. She said that given the thickness of the endometrium it was best to perform a hysteroscopy, with dilation and curettage to remove polyps. She said that after the curretage she will circulate warm water in my uterus, because this helps 'stablize' the endometrium and it will not grow as fast back. This seemed strange and unknown to me, so I asked her several times about it, but could not find out more. It also seemed quite harmless, just warm water, so I had the procedure in the hospital with general anestesia. The day after the procedure she came to see me while I was leaving the hospital and said she had found many polyps and weird structures and has send them all to the laboratory. She also said no to be worried if a lot of water comes out of all the sudden, since some could have been left inside. After the procedure I had just a watery pink discharge, but in the coming weeks, as I was at home with my toddler which cached a virus I start reading on internet about endometrial hyperplasia and found a reference to a procedure using hot water (hydrothermal ablation) which seemed very similar to what she had described. So, at the next appointment I asked her about it and she said she used the procedure only to reduce the thickness of the endometrium and not to ablate it completely. I could not find any reference to this anywhere, is that something usual? I was also surprised as this time she said she had used the balloon filled with water and not the water directly in the uterus, so how about what she said in the hospital about the water coming out? I am very confused and scared that she did an endometrial ablation without asking my consent. The laboratory results were fine, but wasn't she supposed to check for malignancy before the thermal procedure? My main question is : could hydrothermal or hot water balloon procedure be used to reduce only the thickness of the endometrium ? (since I have only read about them in relation to endometrial ablation). I am 37 years old and I am scared of long term complication, like adhesions, I would have not considered endometrial ablation before trying less invasive routes. Thank you for your help!
