Hello, i have been on Trazidone100 mg. for four nights to treat insomnia. I am 5’6” and weigh #132 and 63years old. I am not suffering from depression. Just insomnia.... I am experiencing dizziness, daytime sleepiness, blurred vision, and really feeling “out of it” for the past two days. My heart rate has decreased to a resting heart rate of 52. I have a history of this low pulse rate happening from other drugs in the past. The trazidone worked well for the first two nights with 7-8 hours of sleep. But now I am only getting about 5 hours of sleep at night. My fingers are crossed that these side symptoms will go away. I am also very jet-lagged (6 days after our return with a 12 hour time difference) and though we are completly safe, we do live near the Hawaii lava eruption and flows. We have an evacuee family staying in our home. So my point is that unusual conditions are also going on. But I did not have these symptoms unti 2 days after I had started taking the Trazidone. I tend to be very sensitive to drug side effects. I’ve cosidered breaking the Trazidone in 1/2(to 50 mg) trying this for awhile? Should I just try to ride this out for a while and hope that these symptoms go away?
