Hello, My Husband Was Diagnosed With Kidney Stones Three Weeks

Hello,

My husband was diagnosed with kidney stones three weeks ago. He has passed two stones. He was told there were only two. He continues to have back pain, between his shoulder blade and lower back. Usuall at night when he lies down. The pain comes in waves. He went back for a second check up and was told he was "backed up", he was prescribed OTC laxatives and liquid magnesium. The pain has continued. Both visits were to the ER, he had blood work and ultrasound exams.
He followed up with his PCP, whom prescribed antibiotics and pain medication. Antibiotics, for what? I do not know. He was not able to give me a detailed answer, other then "in case there was inflammation". I will be going with him to his next appointment. I would greatly appreciate your assistance with this matter. Thank you, Gabriela
