Hello. My 17 yr old daughter was recently diagnosed with atrial septal defect. Upon further check up thru TEE, they determined that the size of the hole is 1.2cm. Her doctor is not so concerned about the size since it is relatively small. Would it be ok not to have the hole fixed? Or is there immediate need for the catheterization? Any advice is much appreciated
