I'm a 23 year old male and have been having weird symptoms in my chest, throat, and left arm. I have gone to the ER twice for it and have had a follow-up appointment regarding this issue. The first time I went to the ER they told me it was a heart arrythmyia/palpitation. The second time I went to the ER I had a blood test, multiple EKGs, two chest x-rays, and was hooked up to a constant monitor for my heart. They never found anything abnormal.
My symptoms include a slight tightness in my left arm, specifically concentrated at my elbow and up towards my shoulder, under my armpit. Those feel as if they could be muscle aches or something of the sort. Additionally, I have slight throat tightness concentrated where my throat meets my chest. Occaisonally, I notice a very slight pain that seems to be coming from my diaphram, just under or right where my rib cage ends on my left side. Also, occaisonally, I will feel a little light-headed. Never faint. Just what seems to be slight dizziness.
Immediately prior to these symptoms and ER visits, I did have a pretty bad cough. There were times that I would cough violently for quite awhile and that went on for about 2 or 3 weeks from what I can remember. Also, I've had a weird rash like area start at my inner thighs and has since spread all over my body. I was prescribed a steroid cream for this and much of the redness and itching has since gone away.
I have smoked about 1 to 2 packs a day since I was about 16 or 17 and I also used to have many sodas in a day, but have recently cut way down on soda and caffeine.
