Hello. I was recently bit in the face by a dog. He had all his shots and I have had a tetanus shot within the last 5 years. He broke the skin in 3 places, one on each side of my nose and one by my inner eyebrow. I also got a very bloody nose. None of the bites were too deep so I did not go to the doctor. I iced it for the first few days as it swelled greatly. Now most of the swelling has left however above the two cuts on either side of my nose is tender and it feels like a hard lump. Also, separately I am taking doxycycline for ance so I am hoping this may benefit any minimal infection. Will this go away or is it something I should be concerned about?
