I was in a head-car accident in 2008. It fractured left ankle in numerous places, and shattered right ankle. My pelvis was also fractured and broke in MANY places. I have hardware in all both ankles and 2 long screws holding pelvis together with small screw in left hip. With the history being said, i have had a long road. I have been in pain management practically since then. I am now seeing a spinal/pain specialist. A few months ago he tried a procedure on pelvis- injections in back to "numb" the joints. This did nothing. My last visit he suggested an implant. The neuraltransmitter. He said we are running out of options. Beside the fact i dont want any more surgeries, this does scare me. I have tries to find as much information i can. I am trying to get more input on this-as many "second opinions" i can!
