I having a lot of electrical pain in both my hands. The Dr.'s say the pain is coming from my neck. I had MRI's done, all different kinds of shots, and now I am on 2 medications, Gavapentin and Simbalta. I had to leave my job because of this. The Dr.'s are saying that I have 5 disc's that are not good. I think 2 are herniated. I also have bone spurs which are pressing on my nerves and arthitis. I have seen 2 surgeons who will not operate on me and 2 that will. I did decide to have the surgery done because even though I am taking medication I still have mild electrical pain everyday. The Dr. I chose to do the operation is Dr. Scott Katzman. None of my Dr.'s have heard of him. Dr. Katzman has offices all over FL and a surgery center up in the Orlando area. He wants to remove the bone spurs, shave the arthitis, and replace 2 of the disc's. My concern in this situation is he got very mixed ratings on Vitals and a couple of other sites. Then he has had malpractice suits and I don't know if he won or lost the suits. I cannot understand some of what I read. I don't know what to do. I would appreciate any feedback you can give me.
