Hello I had a go kart accident a few days ago and sustained a road rash injury on the inner part of my left arm right near the fold of my arm. I went to the er in fear that I had broken my arm, which turns out I didn't but I was told by the doctor that my wound needed to be cleaned and bandaged up. Well, they never did that and as I was being discharged from the er, I asked the guy nurse about it and he told me it did not need to be bandaged and that I could just clean it myself and "let it breathe, well, I have cleaned it to the best of my ability but it has scabbed over and is yellow and now very itchy, is this infection, what should I do? I have used soap, peroxide and antibiotic ointment! Help?
