Hello. I am having memory loss, confusion and at times I cannot remember how to do simple tasks. I was diagnosed with Chiari malformation, and I had surgery to correct it. For about 2 years after surgery I continued to have severe headaches. So....my primary care physician performed a spinal tap, the level of my spinal fluid was 50. She drained some fluid and that helped. I went through this procedure appropriately once every 6 months. I haven’t had a spinal tap for approximately 10 years. Could the Chiari be causing my “stupid “ spells?
