Hello, I am a 16 year old girl and I have just got the contraceptive implant nexplanon (2 weeks ago today) and I am experiencing itching at the site where it was inserted. I have had a bruise that is now starting to fade into non-existence but was very purple in the first few days and the soreness has lessoned immensely but it is still rather uncomfortable to touch or put my arm in certain positions, especially those that involve weight on it. This is my first time using the implant and I know most of this is normal but the itching worries me and is it supposed to still be sore 2 weeks in? Without going into too much detail, the itching is bearable and comes in short periods with long delays between and there is no sign of an infection. Is this just because the implant is settling in or should I take action? Thank you so much!
