Hello , I am 58year old mail , I am 5'5" my average wt is about 162 ti 165 lbs ( for the past 25 years ) I have had several physicals with my previous physician over the past 10 years with no negative results , other than being treated for colesterol ( 10mg Avorstatin ) daily . I recently swithched to a new physition and had blood screen , his assesment was that my A1c levels were high and , that I am at HIGH risk of DM-2 ? I was supprised by this since I've had no previous reprorts , and in fact in the 2 months prior to the tests I had dieted , reduced sugar intake considerably , and alchohol completely . I consider my ahcholol intake other than that , moderate , about 3-5 beers a week . Do you have any thoughts or ideas why would have risks ( no family history of diabetese , ) my A1C reported a score of 5.8 ,a nd glucose 81 ?
