Hello! Earlier This Year I Went Into Kidney Failure Twice.

Hello! Earlier this year I went into Kidney Failure twice. The 2nd time, my kidney's failed down to 11%. Some of my medications were stopped, and the attending doctor at the hospital ordered that I start taking Atorvastatin. My primary care doctor has just called in a RX for Gemfibrozil, which she had stopped right after the 2nd kidney failure. I am currently taking Atorvastatin still and my primary doctor now does my refills for this medication. So, I just looked up all the medications I am currently taking and found a Major drug interaction between Gemfibrozil & Atorvastatin. It said, if my doctor feels this is the best course of medications for me to take, then I should be closely monitored while on them... but she only had me schedule an appointment for 6 months from now. Is she trying to kill me with my Kidney Failure history?!? Now I question if the Kidney Failure was initially caused by me taking Pravastatin & Gemfibrozil together?!? That she prescribed!
