Hello Dr. My name is Loveleen Kaur Sandhu from Amritsar. My Father met with an accident on 1 st April 2015. He got severe Head injury. He was on Ventilator for 4 days. Now he is shifted to HDU in Uppal Hospital Amritsar. Ct scan reveals that there is haemorragic contusions in both frontal, right parietal lobe and left temporo-parietal lobes with few contusions in lentiform nucleus, coronaradiata bilaterally. There is a possiblity of diffuse axonal injury. There is a fracture of right petrous temopral bone and SAH with mild diffuse cerebral oedema. There is subsegmental areas of air space opacification in posterolateral basal segments of both the lower lobes? Due to aspiration pneumonitis with a small area of atelectasis in lateral basal segment of left lower lobe with thin streak of fluid on each side of pleural cavity. There is a fracture of right clavicle and 4th and 6th ribs on right side. My father orientation is disturbed and there is a loss of memory. His state of mind is confused and incomprehnsible words are spoken by him. He obeys verbal commands. But answer questions in inappropriate manner. Sometimes he talks irrelevant things. Both upper and lower limbs are good in function. But there is loss of control of bladder and bowel movement. My main matter of asking question is about that due to infection His TLC raised to 17,300 and neutrophils are 88 while lymphocytes are 8 in no. His pulse is also raised by 110. His bp is around 130-140 and mostly fever is 99-100 aprx Please tell me what to do to reduce his infection. So that to control his TLC and neutrophils and lymphocyte count. Pls reply me Sir.
