Hello Dr. My mon is 86 years old has a pretty good memory, can tell you things from any years ago. About 2 months ago she started to tell us that her mom gave her a bedpan in 1965 and that shes had it all this time and when she moved about a few months ago she started telling us that the lady next door stole it from her, first she said it was taken from the apt. then that it was taken out of the car, other time she said the Real Estate people took it and after us telling her that nothig was ever taken that we never even saw that bedpan and that how could that bed pan still exist and be in good conditions from 1965? We have even taken her personally to her old apt. to speak to the lady she is accusing of steeling and the lady swears she has not taken anything. My mom constantly calols her and harrasses her to the point the lady put a restraint against my mom. I loeft a msg. on her doctors phone, I still have not heard from him. She does NOT liuke going to doctors because she does not want to pay doctor bills. My brother is at the end of his wits and can't take it anymore. I don;t know what else to do nor do I know what;s going on with her except that she is living on this story that probably doesn't exist only in her mind, or if it did exist it happened many years ago and has now popped back into her mind and she thinks its real. Please help me or guide me as to what I need to do. I don't want her to get in trouble or go to jail or worse be put into a mental ward.
