Hello Dr.,
I have a 12 year old girl with cold and flu symptoms for about 24 hours now. Achy all over, headache, elevated heart rate, tired but having trouble sleeping, and back and forth being hot and cold. She's felt pretty warm, but we have been giving her over the counter meds to help with that. Finally bought a thermometer today, and it read 103.6. Is this typical as a symptom, or should we take her to see her Doctor? Thanks for your advice!
