Hello Doctor. My name is Paul and I have a question about the spread of HPV, which I know is a term for numerous STDs. My sister-in-law had a test for STDs about 3 1/2 years ago which was negative. She has been TOTALY monogamous, but in her test 2 weeks ago it came back positive for "STD". She has long had doubts about her husband's fidelity, such as finding women's panties that weren't her size in the glove compartment of his truck! My question is can HPVs be spread by any means other than some form of sexual contact? I don't mean just intercourse, but any of the other things a man and woman can do together that don't require intercourse. Or, can they ONLY be spread through intercourse? Please let me know as it's tearing her up, but she lives in a somewhat small town so doesn't want to ask any of the doctors there, including her own, and doesn't know how to search for things like this. Thank you very much, Paul
