Having Noticed Vomiting, high Temperature, back Pain After An Unprotected Sex

Hi doctor, I have been having unprotected sex for the last six months. I last had my periods on 5/10/2012 and after that been having unprotected sex. Till now i haven't seen my next periods but i get some signs of pregnancy such as increased saliva, vomiting/nausea, high temperatures and severe back pain a week ago. These prompted me to carry out a urine test at home in the evening. Results however turned out to be negative. What could this be? Please advise.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Two things, first is that I would prefer you conduct a home pregnancy test using an early morning urine sample as it would be most concentrated and would help to give a more accurate result.

Next, your symptoms are more in accordance with an infection so please visit your doctor for a comprehensive blood panel, urine analysis and a detailed history.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
