Having Noticed Painful Lump On The Tailbone

Hiya, I have a problem I m not sure what it could be. I ve been experiencing some pain on my tailbone, and yesterday a lump on the left side next to my bum (sort of on the crease) came up. It s very painful to sit, walk and do other things. If you could please help me or give me some idea of what it could be that would be great. Thank you

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

With your history, it seems you are developing a peri anal abscess and possibly it is a pilonidal sinus with developing abscess. This has to be physically examined to confirm the diagnosis for a proper management. Therefore, I would advise you to take appointment with a general surgeon in your area, and get your self assessed by him and go as per his advice.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
