Having High Blood Pressure. Undergoing A Surgery Need To Lower. What Is The Medicine For It?

Hello, I have an upcoming surgery (8-30-13) but at my pre-op apt my blood pressure was elevated. I was told to return in 6 days. It was still a little elevated. I am now 8 days away from surgery date dr wants me to return again tomorrow for another reading if it's not lower she has told me she won't clear me for surgery. I monitor it at home and it is low, when I go to see her it elevates. I am otherwise healthy but she won't look at that. Any suggestions on how to lower the bp for tomorrow? I have waited almost a year to have this surgery. Thank you.

Hi!
My advice is that be mentally relaxed and dont be anxious because blood pressur shoots up in anxious states.as you said your blood pressure records normal at home and is increased as you go to see your doctor.Dont worry about the surgery your doctor knows the best so trust her ,follow the traetment and take care!
