Have Pregnancy Symptoms. Was On Cyclessa. Are Birth Control Pills Misguiding The Symptoms?

I just stopped taking bcp (cyclessa) after being on it for 2 months. Stopped taking on pill 9 of my third pack on May 11. Have pregnancy symptoms but negative pregnancy tests. Currently 3 days late for cycle. Very light spotting started after a week of stopping bcp, over the course of 3 days. How long does it take to start experiencing symptoms from stopping bcp? How long do symptoms last? Does the amount of time on bcp have anything to do with when the symptoms start or how long they will last?

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

Because you took on the portio of a pill pack, the subsequent cycle will definitely not be normal. It is normal to have a small amount of bleeding after stopping the pills, and it is also normal to have a delayed 'next' cycle. In answer to your questions in order:
1. Your cycle will normalize (and your symptoms) about 4-6 weeks after stopping the pills
2. See #1
3. No, you just should not have stopped the pills in the middle of the pack

I hope that this helps.
