Have Piles. Suggestions For Breakfast?

hello doctor , my name is deepu bhat , I am 22 years old , i have a problem of pyles , yesterday i went to doctor , he has advised me to take smuth tablets nd a smuth onitment , so can u suggest me on this and if possible can you please tell me that what is the best thing which i can have in the morning for my breakfast , as i am working and have to start early from my house .

Hi,
Basic cosept of management of piles consists of of-
_ Lot of fibers in diet. & plenty of liquids in form of -water/ milk,tea,coffee, soups,etc.
-Have salad/fresh fruits with each serving of food.
-consume cerels,pulses,legumes (without processing)
- take no spices/pickles,
- take small servings with a gap of 3 hrs. to ease the digestion.
- physical activities like regular exersizes ,avoiding use of vehicle/ lifts (where ever possible)are to be adopted.
So its desirable to plan your breakfast,lunch &dinner keeping these principles in mind. For example- brown bread 2 slices with a little butter + sprouts (half a small boul-steamed with a pinch of salt_one apple (with skin)+ a glass of milk.

I am so sorry to hear about this diagnosis of pile.

It doesn't require anything specific for breakfast. The greatest asset is to maintain a healthy diet so that your stools can always be soft in consistency so as to promote regression of symptoms and prevent future occurrence. This is easily done by eating enough fibers, vegetables, drinking much water and stay physically active. Also, avoid unnecessarily standing up especially now.

smuth tablets and ointtment are good in the short run to make your stools of soft consistency but you cannot take it all your life. This is why the above measures will ensure that you achieve this goal.
