Have Osteoprorosis In Hip And Leg. Taking Zerodol, Dexametasone. Have Weight Gain. Treatment Other Than Surgery?

I have been suffering with osteoprorosis in my hip and left leg for several years. I have been taking zerodol combine with dexametasone every two to three days once a day. It works very well, but do not want to get addicted
to any drugs, I have recently noticed a slight weight gain, could it be from taking the dexametasone, I read it contain steriods. What is your best advice for the pain other than surgery ( this is very expensive)

Thanks

Hi
thanks for your question.
Yes the slight weight gain is due to dexametasone side effect.
The benefits of using dexametasone for your condition out weigh the side effects so continue using it. Hope i answered your question.
