Have had a sore throat off and on for about 2months with joint pains all over the body. Had a check up with Dr this week and chest Xray which was negative for any problems with the lungs, heart etc but have a terrible cough also. I have prostate cancer PSA 66 and get a shot for my bones once a month from the Dr but no other treatments from him. Get a shot every three months for the cancer(hormone therapy). My Dr has prescribed Sulfamethoxazole TMP DS therapy for what might be a lung infection and Benzonatate 200MG for the cough. I was on two other drugs prior that caused worsening of the joint pain and have not taken anything but the above drugs. I also have Tamsulosin HCL 0.4 from my urologist for my having to urinate quite a bit at night but have stopped it also for the past week. Is there a flu going around that I haven't been aware of? We thought is might be bronchitis but nothing conclusive. I am 84 years old and have never been sick and not having any energy is driving me nuts.
