Have Cold Feeling In The Knee Cap. Had Put Ice On Knees After A Race. Is There Anything Serious In This?

Hello Dr. Grief, I am a 49 year old woman and just ran in the 10 mile Broad Street Run on Sunday. After the race that day, I put ice on my knees. Later on however, I started feeling a cold sensation across the knee cap, almost feeling like someone was pouring cold water down it. It is sporadic but it has continued since Sunday. I want to mention that I'm not in any real pain, it's more of just a strange feeling that I am curious about. Do you know if this is serious? Is there anything I can do to treat this? Thank you for your time
