Have TMJ. Metallic Taste In Mouth, Headache, Sensitivity In Neck And Head. How To Get Rid Of This?

I have tmj for over a year. Since fri, I have had a metallic taste in my mouth and a constant headache . I wear a mouth guard to help with my clenching. My face hurts. The top of my head and back of my neck is sensitive. How do I get rid of this bad taste in my mouth? And how do I get all the pain down? How can I get things to be back to normal or close to normal?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Wearing a mouth guard and the constant muscle spasm can cause the headache you are having. The metallic taste in the mouth may also be related. You can take a mild pain killer for the pain relief. These symptoms will take some time to subside.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
