Has Pain In Knee Joints. ASO Test Positive. CRP Reactive. Is This Curable?

Hello Doctor, I am jerry from Madurai, TN. Recently we have taken ASO and CRP test (prescribed by lab technician) for my Mother(Age 72). She has severe pain in her knee joints. In that test ASO was positive and CRP was mentioned as reactive. So I would like to know, is it curable? what is the treatment procedure for this? To whom(ortho or any other doctors) we have to consult with?

Radiologist 's  Response
Hello Jerry,
Thanks for writing in.
From what you have written, I suggest that you consult a Rheumatologist (specialist in Joint diseases) preferably in Madurai or Chennai. He will assess the knee joint through X ray and may have better treatment options for you. He will also refer you to a Medicine specialist if he feels necessary.
I find this answer helpful

Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
