Has Diabetes. Taking Glimisave. What Diet Should He Follow?

Hello doctor,
My husband is having diabetes from last year. He is taking Glimisave M1, bt he is very irregular in taking medicins. first doctor suggested morning 1/2 and after dinner 1 tablet. Now he is taking morning 1 and after dinner sometimes he takes . He takes drinks in the night. I just wanted 2 know is it safe to tke the tablets after a drink ? Which diet he is supposed 2 follow ? Pls help. FBS is 170

Hi,

The FBS of your husband is high, meaning that he needs to work more to bring it to normal levels again, especially with his diet plan:

- avoid drinking alcohol and smoking

- eat less fatty and sugary foods (especially those with high glycemic index)

- eat more fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish,etc.

- avoid processed foods

- do more physical activity based on his health condition.
