Hard Lump Under Tattoo, Scar Tissue, Swollen Area Around Bump, Redness. Treatment?
i am looking for an answer for a friend of mine. he has had a tattoo for over 4 years, after the tattoo was healed he noticed a hard small lump under his tattoo, he did have it looked at and the doctor told him it was scar tissue . yesterday he noticed the bump has become much larger and very painful. it also has a hard swelled area around the bump that is also red. any idea to what is causing this, or what is wrong?

hi lump under tattoo can be due to infection of the scar tissue or hypertrophic scar.in few people tattoos may cause allergic contact dermatitis due to dye used in tattoo.first treat the acute condition with antibiotic,painkillers and application of a soothening agent .once it gets cured remove the tattoo with laser treatment
