Hair Loss. Taken BTN Plus. Can I Use It After Date Of Expiry?

Hello I am Sandy... actually i have hair fall problem and every year I use to take medicine to control it. Last year when I had this problem.. doctor suggested me to take BTN Plus and I had used for almost 3 months and its stopped. Now again I am facing the same problem and when I consulted the doctor.. he suggested to have same medicine again. Now my question is I have some BTN plus medicine left out from last year but its expired in 03/2013 so can I use this medicine since I have a full box and I don't want to waste it. Please help with your suggestion.

Any medicine,let alone BTN plus is not safe to be taken after expiry.Drugs are foreign material that have effects on every system of the body.Usually drugs are prescribed in such a way that,that benefits outweigh harm.Expiry date for a drug is such time that the benefits of the drug is more than the harm that it can produce.After this,either the benefits will be non existent or the side effects would be too high.Drugs can even turn out to be poisonous .Infact,drugs are safe only when taken in the proper dosage and within in stipulated time period.Any variation from this is harmful and should be strictly avoided.
So,I suggest you to forget about the old drugs and buy new.Then you will not have to regret.
