Had Braces Taken Off . Now I See Teeth Shift To A Degree. Advice?
I recently got my braces of (Tuesday) and I am not satisfied. They did not ask me if I had any concerns before they took them off, so I was not aware that I could voice my concern. Now, I am seeing my teeth shift (even with the retainer) to a degree where I really believe I need to get my braces back on. I ve already paid $5000. I will be meeting with my ortho the week after next to have a treatment discussion and I am wondering if he will put them back on or charge me again. What are your thoughts?
In your case it is advised to sit with your dentist and discuss the changes you want in your profile, related to teeth.
you should be very frank to discuss what are your expectations from the treatment, and your dentist should be clear enough to explain you what all changes are possible and which all are not achievable.
so that once the treatment is done you will have acceptance for the new changes brought in your profile after your dental treatment.
Hope i am amply clear to you.
Take care.
Thanks.

Had Braces Taken Off . Now I See Teeth Shift To A Degree. Advice?
Hello and welcome, As you got your fixed appliances, and the treatment was not satisfying, your dentist will ask you to put the appliance again for further corrections. To an extent, the gap can be closed using removable retainers. Regarding the charges,it depends on your orthodontist. Maintain good oral hygiene. Avoid mouthbreathing/tongue thrusting habit if you practice any to correct the occlusion. Please inform your dentist about your feedback as he can correct it at the same time. Hope everything becomes fine. TAKE CARE.
