Good Morning Doctor Rynne, I have suffered with UC for 18 years. It has generally been in check with 800mgs. of Assacol xQID. My mother passed almost a year ago and I had another flare up. My gastro-internolgist put me on a high dosage of 120 tablets of prednisone. Now this took care of the UC flare up, but I started developing side effects. weight gain, mood swings, and also now dealing with lesions on the left flank side of my boy n the general area of where my underwear and pants and belt ride. My dermatologist recommended Kenalog injections, to help clear this up. I have been dealing with this for over a year now. What is your take on this?
