Hi,

It seems that you had a urinary infection and now you are having a gastritis due to the medicines.

Do not worry as this is usually self remitting. Do not eat fried or food high in oils. Eat simple clear soups preferably home made and clear fruit juice and plenty of water. Eat yogurt and probiotics which are available in the supermarkets. Also take vitamin Bcomplex as it helps to restore the normal bacteria in the intestine.

You should be all right with this. However if you start having loose stools and the urinary symptoms do not subside, you will need to have a urine examination and an antibiotic prescribed for a cure.

Hope this was helpful.

General & Family Physician Dr. Nsah Bernard's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

It is quite obvious that you have acquired an infection which is most likely a urinary tract infection (UTI). The stomach flu symptoms are also most likely related to the UTI. I do suggest that you see a doctor as soon as possible for immediate medical assessment with physical examination and laboratory tests such as urine analysis, CRP, ESR, fasting blood sugar, CBC, stool exams etc so that the cause can be determined effectively and then treatment provided accordingly.
Your situation should be considered urgent and do not allow it to get complicated before you decide to visit the emergency room.

Hope this helps
