Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
I can understand that this can be really frustrating. But learning the basicfacts about a UTI, will certainly help in finding a permanent cure. If you suspect the UTIs to occur due to sexual intercourse, there must be something you or your partner are doing wrong. Testing of your vaginal ph and his semen will also help in finding any underlying infections.
Usually, almost all recurrent cases of UTI have some underlying cause to it, and sexual intercourse is not one of them, hygiene can be; but as you are taking special care of that, we should rule hygiene out.
Undergo an
ultrasound scan of your abdomen and pelvis, and may be even a transvaginal one. If there are any abnormalities in with your bowel movements, etc; please report them. You condoms during intercourse for the time being, as they help in preventing transmission of infections.
A physical examination by your doctor, along with a few investigative (non-invasive) procedures can help in finding the cause for recurrent UTIs (some of the most common being vaginal pH, infection in partner,
uterine prolapse, etc.).
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.
