For How Long Does Valium And Xanax Traces Show Up In A Blood Test?

I took 250 mg of Valium over a 3 week period. Last time I took one was December 23. I have a drug test for my probation officer on the 22nd of January. What are the chances it s still going to show up in my urine drug screen that they send to a lab? I had a script from the dr but didn t mention it to my probation officer at our last meeting. I have 2 months left and do not want to violate, but my doctor wants to switch me to Xanax because I didn t like the effects of Valium. I want to avoid failing for both since I failed to inform him of last months script.

hi
Thanks for choosing healthcare magic

Half life of valium is about 1-2 days. To eliminate it completely from body its need 5 half life i.e. 5 to 10 days. In Xanas half life is 6-12 hour, so its need 2-3 days to eliminate from body. U have taken tab valium on 23rd Dec, so it would be eliminated through body before 22nd January. For xanas u have to discuss with ur probation Officer or u could stop taking it one week before test.

Thanks
