What Are The Red Flakes That Have Formed All Over My Face?

For about a week now my entire face has developed some sort of flaky, red, face mask. My face just isn t simply smooth and with visible pores and such. Do you think it ll clear over time? Why is my face only reacting this way? I was thinking because I may have used expired aloe cream product?

Hello,

You are suggested not to use any expired cream or ointment. You are suffering from hypersensitivity of the skin. Do not touch, scratch or pick the flakes. You can apply a thin layer of mild ointment like Soframycin. Taking antihistamines, one stat daily for 3-5 days will help to reduce and control the symptoms of allergy.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a dermatologist to detect medical conditions like atopic dermatitis, rosacea, psoriasis, etc., so that treatment can be started at the earliest. Psoriasis is treated with corticosteroids, light therapy and retinoid ointment.

Take shorter, cooler showers. You can use lipid-enriched soap for gentle cleansing. Gentle cleansing of the face should be done, oatmeal baths are soothing. Primrose oils helps to reduce itching. Stay away from addictions like alcohol, smoking, drugs, etc. Avoid to take food that does not suit you as it may trigger the symptoms. Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
