Five Months Ago, I Had Routine Blood Work Done That

Five months ago, I had routine blood work done that all came back normal. My GFR was 93; all indicators of kidney function were normal. Four months ago, I had an abdominal ultrasound that included an examination of my kidneys - everything normal.
Three weeks ago, I had another round of blood work done that showed my creatinine level at 1.5, making my GFR 41. My BUN was normal. I am a 39-year old female; I am not diabetic; I have normal blood pressure; I do not have any family history of kidney disease; I had no protein in my urine tested recently. I have no apparent physical symptoms of kidney dysfunction. I have an upcoming appointment with a specialist, and I am getting another round of blood work done.
In the meantime, however, I am very concerned that I might have kidney disease. Is there any other reason to explain an isolated abnormal creatinine level? What would cause such a drastic increase in creatinine/drop in GFR? Thank you.
