Does Vaginal Itchiness And Soreness Post Hysterectomy Indicate Thrush?

had hysterectomy 11 months ago .. and have started getting itching around my vagina .. very red and sore, have been on doxcycline antiobotic for 7 days due to chest infection , finished course 2 days ago .. should i see doctor or could it be thrush and self treat

Hi, I think you should consult a gynecologist for pelvic examination. it can be due to some infections. You may need some antibiotics and antifungal drugs. A vaginal pessary of antibiotics and antifungal drugs may be needed.
