Does The Head Injury Gash With Scarring Need Any Medical Attention?

Hello I recently feel and seriously hit my head. Since I am currently in Bulgaria I went to the emergency room but they only wrapped it up when it the gash should have been taped or stitched up. My grandma has made sure its not infected by rinsing it out. My concern is that my hair is stuck in between the big lump of dried up blood. So should I worry about my hair growing into my scar because it was gashed open and I had it wrapped up for 2 days so the bleeding would stop. I passed out twice on the way to the ER and now after a week in bed and starting not to get dizzy when I get up...

Hi there, I understand that your concern regarding the scar is genuine. Well, as you have mentioned, you got it cleaned and it dried, and its been approx 1 week since the injury. Now, since as you mentioned you found hair stuck in between the big lump of dried blood. The thing is, with in some time, say 2-3 weeks,as the healing continues, that lump will come out of the head by itself, and it will be attached to the hair as it got stuck previously itself. Scar area usually doesn't have hair buds, so if you find hair after the dried blood comes out, then you can thing that its because outer end of the hair got stuck their.
It will be easier for me to let you know if you update me with the photograph of the area.
