Hello,

I understand you have a question about any interactions between your medications.

This is a good question since there are often interactions between medications that get overlooked that might be important, especially when there are many medications as in your case.

From the list that you gave, there are no interactions that would necessarily require you to stop taking any of them.

The most serious interactions include between St. John's wort and Simvastatin, which may decrease the level of Simvastatin in your blood.

There is also an interaction between simvastatin and amlodipine, which increases the level of simvastatin in your blood.

While it's possible these two effects will even out, the result is unpredictable, and it is recommended to only taking 20mg of Simvastatin while on Amlodipine.

There is also an interaction between amitriptyline and St. John's wort that can increase the level of serotonin in your system.

You should be aware of symptoms such as delirium, agitation, fever, nausea/vomiting, or nervousness. You should let your doctor know if you start getting these symptoms.

Lastly, amitriptyline may affect how your body responds to your salmeterol inhaler, either increasing or decreasing its effect, but I doubt this effect would be noticeable.

These are the most important interactions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
