Does The Body Get Used To Lyrica And Gradually Stop The Edema It Causes?
I began taking 300 mg daily of Lyrica for post back surgery nerve pain one week ago. (Gabapentin didn t work.) I am experiencing edema and weight gain already. Will this stop as my body adjusts to it? I am a 70 year old female in relatively good health.
Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Pregabalin or Lyrica is recognized to carry a risk for peripheral edema. So I think that your symptoms are related to a side effect of this medication and will pass gradually. If the symptoms continue you should contact Your symptoms seem to be related doctor for an examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
