Does The BP Reading Of 140/90 From Earlier 160/90 Indicate An Improvement?

Hello Dr. Actually From last 4 days my BP increased. I am having 8th month of pregnancy. Last reading was 160/90. Now the local doctor suggested me to admit in hospital. also she gave me Lobate Tablets & Injections. Now the last reading was 140/90. Is it improving?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,
Obviously it is improvement.
160/90 means: systolic 160 mm/Hg and diastolic 90 mm/Hg.
Now after treatment it is 140/90, so it decreased around 20 mm/Hg.
Normal blood pressor is 120/80 mm/Hg.
So do not worry.
Hospitalization was best treatment and closely monitor your blood pressor to prevent complication.

Hope this may help you.

Wish you good health.
