Does Taking Active Pills Of Trinessa Initially Affect Its Effectiveness?

I m on trinessa. This is my second pack and I started with the darker blue pills, instead of the white where it says to start. They are not the green sugar pills, they were actual active BC pills but I m concerned that I won t be protect because I didn t start with the white ones. Is this a problem? Will I be protected or no?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The different color tablets contain different doses of the hormonal medications that make up this birth control pill.

This is the reason that they are taken at specific times in the cycle.

If taken in the wrong order there would be an increased chance of pregnancy.

It would be best to speak to your gynecologist to find out his or her recommendation.

I hope this helps
