Does Taking TaZloc Reduce Blood Pressure?

Dear Doctor, I had a mild B/P until recently. I had been taking 25 mg. atenolol in the morning. my normal reading is always 80/140 upto 150. few months back I have noticed 140 side goes up. when I consulted a doc. He recommended 40 mg. Tazloc. But insted of taking it I used to take Atenolol night and morning.Today I found 82/154. Do I have to take TaZloc 40 as recommended by the 2nd doc.Bandara

Atenolol is a once daily drug. It is only suppose to be used once daily. The once daily dose can be increased by a doctor but it is not be used twice daily.

It would be best to go back to the dose of atenolol recommended by your doctor and add the tazloc as advised. It would provide additional control of your blood pressure.

If after a few days, the blood pressure is still above the goal then you should see your doctor for assessment.
