Does Taking Pacitane While On Syndopa, Levipil And Cause Any Adverse Drug Interactions?

Hi my relative is severely impaired and bed ridden due to an accident. He has Diffused Axonal Injury and is prescribed Pacitane 2mg, syndopa 110, Levipil and Liofen. We have observed that upon taking Pacitane he starts getting seizures. It happens only when he takes Pacitane. Does this medicine have adverse reaction with the other prescribed medicines?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Pacitane (Trihexyphenidyl) does not cause seizure but Liofen (Baclofen) can cause a seizure.

Pacitane (Trihexyphenidyl) does not have any known drug interaction with either of syndopa (Levodopa /carbidopa), Levipil (Levetiracetam )or Liofen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
