Does Taking Montek LC For Dry Cough Cause Any Side Effects In A Child?
MY SON 8 YR OLD IS HAVING DRY COUGH. FROM NOV 2015 ONWARDS AFTER WE VISITED OSLO(NORWAY). TOTAL ige NORMAL, ALLERGY PANNEL TEST NORMAL, DR SUGGESTED TO TAKE MONTECK lc KID . WHEN HE IS TAKING MONTECK lc KID COUGH IS CONTROLLED. IS THE ANY SIDE EFFECTS FOR LONG TERM CONSUMING?. FURTHER WHICH TEST WE HAVE TO DO FOR KNOWING REASON.

Generally, Montek LC is well tolerated and can be safely used for long term treatment in children with allergy.
Most of the children using this drug do not show any side effects. In rare cases, there may be some drowsiness or nausea, stomach upset, dry mouth, headaches, etc.
