Does Steroid Injection Cause Breast Soreness Post Augmentation Surgery?

Hi, I had steroid injections on Friday 12th into hypertrophic scars following a breast augmentation in June 2013. The scars aren t painful but my breasts are now really sore and feel hot/lumpy, as they do when pregnant. Could this just be a side effect of the injections?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, the discomfort is likely due to an inflammatory response to the injections. You may want to consider the use of anti inflammatory pain killers such as ibuprofen, cataflam, naproxen.

One of these should help.

If the symptoms continue then the possibility of infection would need to be ruled out.

I hope this helps
