General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Yes, a staph infection can lead to white discharge during urination. This discharge can be a symptom of a urinary tract disease or reproductive system. The absence of growth on your recent test doesn't necessarily mean the infection has cleared, and it's essential to follow up with your doctor for proper evaluation and treatment. They may recommend further tests or a change in antibiotics. It's necessary to complete the entire course of antibiotics as directed, monitor your symptoms, and report any changes to your doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
