Does Spinal Cord Stimulation Treatment Reduce The Pain And Numbness?

I already sent my question it is about whether SCS Spinal Cord Stimulation treatment does anything for numbness as well as for pain. Considering I do not have a spleen, is this treatment dangerous for me with respect to infection and what would you suggest I get done to ensure that down the road I do not have infection caused by the insertion of this device against my spinal cord? I think someone in Neurosurgery might be best to answer these questions as opposed to a General Practitioner, the only other option that has been suggested is a 3 level fusion from L4-L5-SI. Considering that SCS is just a bandaid as opposed to something that will change the problems I am dealing with, is there anything else I should be considering?

Hello,

It is a newer technique and provide good pain relief. You can also try for a steroid injection to the spine for long-lasting pain-free intervals.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
