Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Restless Leg Syndrome Cause Recurring Cramps In The Knee And Ankle?
I do have restless syndrome and take medication for it. But for the last three days, I m getting cramps from right under the knee to the ankle. I also have arthritis, and received a cortisone shot in my knee about a month ago. But this is new and I do know that leg cramps can cause PE s, which is how my Mother died.
I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. As per your history is concerned. Please find my advice below:
1) Take medications as usual for restless leg syndrome, as per your question cramping is also a part of restless leg syndrome
2) Take B-12 injection 4 times a week for one month then once a month
3) Check your Sugar level
4) Take [ALNAVIT softgel caps] once a day for calcium and potassium deficit
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best.
Regards, Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
